Laphroaig is the world’s most richly flavoured Scotch Whisky, providing the most distinctive and rewarding malt whisky experience. Founded in 1815, it is one of only a few distilleries that still uses traditional malting floors, and dries and infuses its own malt with the thick blue smoke from old peat-fired kilns. Laphroaig® Triple Wood enjoys a triple maturation in three types of cask. The first maturation is in American oak, ex-Bourbon Barrels. A range of different aged spirit from these barrels is transfered into small Quarter Casks for a second maturation. Finally, Triple Wood matures in large European oak, Oloroso Sherry Casks to impart extra depth and fullness – all leading to a soft, complex and unique blend of our signature peat smoke with fruit and spices
